The Gift of Life

Human life is so crowded with mundane activities that we rarely have time for self introspection. We seldom find ourselves in an expansive, tranquil mood of silence and reflection altogether. But, alas! We still keep chasing the shadow shapes of power, pleasure and possessions. Born in this world to seek our true root, our origin. We get swirled up in the centrifugal force of the materialistic things, chained in the bond of worldliness. But, then what about work? "Work is essential for a being. It disciplines his mind and exercises his body. Work is a great boon." But, we must remember, 'Work is a means, it is not an end'. Livelihood must never be addled with life. Do not make your work the objective of your life on the earth. The purpose of your life is to cultivate the soul. So, stay connected to the source of all life. People of the 21st century are not merely humans, instead a robot would very well define their existential category. From anything to everything they need, want or desire- they are just a CLICK away to procuring it! Imagine you went to the Sahara for a perfect winter vacation- 'Yayy!' And, in the midst of the sand dunes while the camel bumps once, twice, and now thrice thereby toppling you down on the sand. "Thud!" A loud baseless voice is heard, throughout the vast horizon your eyes stretch only to find sand, and sand everywhere! Your eyes mirage you, decipher you- look towards the East, there are a few men. But, alas, it is merely your illusion. You lie on the sand, helpless and hapless at your inability to escape. But, within an hour, you ultimately manage to fin
