Religion is not Cultural Conditioning

The word ‘dharma’ hails its origin from the roots meaning, ‘that which gives support to and maintains everything.’ It is not a concept, but that which sustains every concept. That which supports this vastness, the galaxy, the universe, and the endless expanse of the existence. Religion is not related to concepts. Because concepts, they are discrete, they are two flips of a same coin. While on one hand concepts; are intellectual ideas.

Religion is the name for that essential truth which sustains everything, without which everything would certainly disperse. That which suffixes all, which is the totality of all, and which bridges all. It is like making a garland of flowers. A heap of flowers here and there a garland. What is the difference? The pile is chaotic. No flower is connected with any other flower; all the flowers are disconnected. The garland is strung on a thread. The thread is not visible, it is hidden in the flowers, but it joins one flower to another. The law of connectivity, here brings forth the essence of belongingness. This whole existence is strung on a thread called dharma, which is the connection of all. Rather, culture is not created from dharma. Culture is made from cultural conditioning. Whilst, dharma is known when all conditionings have been renounced. Cultures will remain on earth, and they should remain because the greater the diversity, the more beautiful is the earth. Imagine a monoculture world- wouldn't that be rather idiotic, achromatic and boring?  Thus, cultures are needed because variety makes life beautiful. Many types of flowers are needed in a garden. Just one type of flower will make the garden monotonous. Cultures must be numerous but religion should be one, because dharma is one. There is no other possibility. Religion is concerned with your being, your pure existence, and nature. Culture is your outer shell, etiquette, and behaviour in everything. Tradition never becomes religion. Religion is timeless, eternal truth. Man makes traditions, religion already exists.

"Traditions are man's creation. Religion precedes man; man has been made by religion." Understand this difference!
