When love follows "Do(s)" and "Don't(s)"

Am I a commodity that I am labelled- "Handle with Care",
Or, am I the luxury your pockets cannot bear.

Am I the bare personification of this eternal grandeur, with a raw demeanour,
Or am I the beauty desired by holy goddess endure?

"Am I a human?" I dare to but still ask with icy fear,
Or am I the animal you often body shame, eh, what was that, oh yeah, "Hippopotamus". Did I make my point fair and square?

Am I only worth all the name tags and all the body standards you set for me here,
Or am I the only one in this human race you think is substandard and still under repair?
But, you see, you are unaware,
Of my beauty that is fiercely rare.
For none to be bartered none to be shared,
Which is only mine,
Forever I shall care.

So, think before you cast an upsurge,
You are entitling yourself to a curse.
The dearth of pity has exchanged spheres,
Leaving you repent when no one will be near.

RANDOM OPINION PIECES-
Loving yourself is not (necessarily):
• Thinking you're gorgeous,
• Not wanting to change anything about your body, personality, or life
-
Loving yourself is:
• Knowing you don't need validation to approve your inherent worth, regardless of your physique or life circumstances,
• Knowing you equally deserve all of the good things,
• Wanting to self embrace yourself, because after all, you deserve good things.
